The Carrollton/Douglasville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi was chartered on Friday, June 17, 2005. The sincerely expressed desire on that evening, was for this chapter to be known as a working chapter. The chapter pledges to be dilligent in its implementation of the Fraternity's programs intended to inspire young men to acheive in every field of human endeavor. For its work with the Douglas County Boys & Girls Club, the chapter received the 2011 Jay Crosby Award, symbolizing the top Guide Right/Kappa League Program in the Southeastern Province (GA & S.C.) of Kappa Alpha Psi. In March 2012, CDAC earned the 2012 J. Michael Graves Award as the Southeastern Province's Small Alumni Chapter of the Year! For fraternal year 2012-2013, CDAC placed additional emphasis on reclaiming brothers to the fraternity, on increasing the chapter's visibility and accessibility, and on maintaining and building its ongoing programs. Those efforts were rewarded with the 2013 Southeastern Province Reclamation Award, Small Chapter, the 2013 Chapter Website of the Year Award, Small Chapter, and the 2013 J. Michael Graves Small Chapter of the Year!! That is 2 years in a row that our hard work has been recognized on the Province level. We received greater news yet, when the Carrollton-Douglasville Alumni Chapter was recognized as the Paul Waymond Caine International Small Chapter of the Year! This award distinguishes CDAC as the best of all chapters of our similar size in all of Kappa Alpha Psi!! While we do not work for the recognition, it always feels good when your efforts are noticed and appreciated. The work goes on! Much work done, much more work to do!
